Sharon Rosen Lopez, MA, CCC-SLP, is a Business Communication and Speech Consultant, and a licensed speech/language pathologist, with over 25 years experience working to improve the communication skills of both children and adults.
Ms. Rosen Lopez holds a bachelor's degree in French from the University of Wisconsin, a master's degree in Speech/ Language Pathology from the University of Washington, and certification as a speech/language pathologist from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association. As an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut, Ms Rosen Lopez taught Business Communication skills to corporate executives and employees. In 2007 she opened Speech Arts, with the mission of transforming the communication skills of anyone wishing to make that commitment to and for themselves. She credits her success in corporate training to her experienced understanding about the motor and voice functions that enable speech, her analytic clinical background, and her dedication to her clients. She brings to Speech Arts a passion for her work, an admiration for world languages, and an awe for the complexities of communication. Ms. Rosen Lopez maintains a private pediatric practice, Pediatric Speech and Language Consulting, has taught in preschool, elementary and middle school programs in both New York and Connecticut, and has lectured in child language development. She has a background in neurogenic disorders, and has worked as a speech/language pathologist at the Westchester Institute for Human Development, Westchester County Medical Center, affiliated with New York Medical College. Licensed in New York and Connecticut, Ms. Rosen Lopez' professional affiliations include active membership in several speech/language organizations in both states as well as in the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association. She has twice received the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association's Award for Continuing Education for her dedicated professional growth. She is treasurer of Corspan -- the Corporate Speech Pathology Network,and is a member of the Westchester chapter of the Society for Training and Development as well as of the Business Council of Westchester. She was honored when asked to be on the Professional Development Committee of the Westchester Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. |
